10

1. The coach tells him, with more attempt at tact, that because of his sexuality, he was unable to play on the team anymore. Though this is early on in the book before it becomes even more clear , It catches me off guard to see such …well, for lack of a better word, blind bullshit spew from a man that’s known Thom for the better half of his preteen youth,   would act in such a way , especially knowing his potential. As for my own reaction, given his powers, I believe I would have acted the same ,  never give my enemy the benefit of seeing me hurt , is a personal policy that I have  adapted over the years and it has settled well in my life to not be used in this situation.  As for my parents, given my mother being quiet difficult to deal with when it comes to my own  emotional  silence, she would be quite comforting but still , would have a strange way about herself for a while, until eventually accepting it. As for my father? He would deal with it by firmly decking the coach and for years, joking about it , until he too accepts.

2. Ruth was telling Thom to start being himself , not to expect  the world to hand everything to him on a silver platter and to stop expecting some major event to come along and change his entire life, he‘s living the life of a meta human, not a comic book super hero. In short she is telling him to live for the now and be happy with the now and deal with the later as it comes To answer the second one would be quite awkward but I am , yes, waiting on something that will make me happy in life, and if anything, I have learned that this patience will reap the highest rewards and I am happy simply waiting for this event to happen . I am in control of this  in a way and in a stranger way not, but I am in control of my emotions in the meantime.

3, -“Everyone in the world should have at least one moment in their lifetime when an entire crowd of people cheers them on for something, one moment to feel exceptional, one moment that lets you know you really do mean something to the universe.”  I believe that , in a way, this happens to all, but in such ways that no one knows it. In my own opinion I feel that everyone should have a moment that time stops for a brief while as we feel awe inspired and feel like we have mastered the universe , that no wrong can happen. A perpetual perfect moment in our life. For me? I have no way to describe how it would happen, just one of those  moments where I feel like I’ve conquered the cosmos. I guess it would be when I am finally acknowledged by the cosplay community as a master craft cosplayer like my teacher , Knives . I know I am not as gifted as he is with the art but I feel with every commission I’m getting even closer
And for those of you who do not know what master craft level cosplay is ? (built by meister knives and yes that’s two people )

4. ..yeaaah , this question is….different…but , no, I believe it is impossible to achieve as , no matter how much of a “pro” you think you are, people are different, and of course their kiss style will be different, likes ,dislikes, tounge, no tounge, hand placement etc.  I can go on forever but the point is the list is infinite on how many possibilities to get it “just “ right . Outside of that, yes I have had a crush on several celebrities , but my current is Tomiko Van, lead singer of do as infinity . Why we do it? We idolize those we can never see (or assume so) in so many cases we build our love for what we see, but if we look  back upon ourselves and themselves, we see that they are forever like us. In my case, my crush on her is not like many who look at her for her figure , I  respect her heavily for her courage and the ability to sing  with a  soul, something a lot of Americans lack the ability to do these days, but to have the ability to move an entire audience to feel the way she feels about a song? Unparalleled by few artists of the day

8...great costumes beget great responsibility

To answer the first question, I would have to say a combination of a moose leather trench coat lined with ceramic plates and a thick lining of Kevlar with a similar blend for a red headband (minus the outer layer being leather, cloth would suffice ) sand blasted jeans with a series of knives, a baton (stun or normal depending on the day and which state I am in )  and pellet bombs ( distraction method plus if needed, a good escape device ) steel toe boots (again, moose leather ) with a basic Kevlar vest to protect the fleshy part of my chest   and an attaché case with a decent amount of outer armor with a lining of bullet proof glass in between. Inside it will be a tranquilizer gun with four clips of ammo, a rebreather , and a set of stun guns, one for close range, one for long, a bottle of painkillers, along with a minor first aid kit and two kukri, in case of a life or death situation. Since this is my own personal version of my superhero (same costume , just the case does something else entirely ) it is designed for defense and the ability to stop my enemies without killing them or harming them outside the realms of restraint and self defense as well as stitching myself up along with anyone in need of it. The answer of a mask? No, I would not have a reason to wear one as , if I am in a city, I will look like a businessman and the only thing they would recognize is the scar on my nose, which, obviously I will put a bit of makeup to cover  and contacts to change my eye color. Tactically, most gang members, if not at close range, will aim for the body first and foremost as its easier to hit , but as most people should understand, an average kid in a gang armed with anything shy of a .45 pistol , has the training and aiming capabilities of a storm trooper blindfolded and spun around , then told to aim at the sun. that’s where the “walking tank” trench coat comes to play, so I should be fine with just this.

The heroes in the film worked to help the homeless and to deter crime: What is a specific problem in your town that you might combat in your superhero identity?
As proud as I am to say I was alive when my neighborhood once stood against gang violence like a small militia,  it saddens me to see the kids of my era teach this one the opposite of our message. Gang violence has been whispering in the cracks of my home and a heroic identity  would remind them that they wioll not just be allowed to go free.

The final question , I can say I do not attach myself to any one of them as I see myself in every single one of them. I want to help my world in such a way I as a human know I can not, it boils my blood to see innocent people hurt day in and out, I cant watch a television anymore because of how pissed off I will become if I look and hear the words “gang members killed x today. Y was shot in ~” if I had the power to fight it , in all ways  I would , but as a human , I can not…but as a hero…

numbor 7

I would be lying if i said that this was one of the hardest to do discussions as it is asking me which of my my favorite heroes/ villains powers I would want. On top of some heavy flu-like symptoms, I'm gonna keep this one short and sweet and to the point.

In this report we were told first to choose a superpower(one that a hero already has ) and asked why , for the normal half, Personally, I would not choose any of the stock x-men as I have my own personal preferences when it comes to powers, but, if I were to choose from the stock- characters, Gambit, if not Mister M. The reason I choose these two are quite simple : Gambit’s powers have a series of uses and a very useful and can range from how you perceive it. His stock powers are based in kinetics and , as many knows, he makes things he touch go boom. Now kinetics do not stop there in any form and since he can charge kinetic energy, what’s stopping him from being an influential? It sounds very controlling yes but understand that  if im living in a world of psychics and people made of fire, I want an ace in my sleeve. As for mister m? his powers lay in molecular manipulation. What this means for non-readers is he can do whatever the heck he wants, period, and his rank as an omega level mutant is not just a title. Near unlimited psionic ability to manipulate all matter and energy on a subatomic level. He can use his power to reconfigure all forms of matter into different substances and forms and can change matter to energy and back again. This means that virtually any conceivable thing can be accomplished. If you wonder why I want his power still, please re-read  the last paragraph four more times and think of inception; a world that can be remolded, for better or worse.
This power is mine that I can pass as a human with no scars, as for the others, my only choice is  the look and powers of night crawler . The power of teleportation is fine and all but added with his compiled list found on wikipedia? He is a personal favorite. To be nearly invisible and teleport anywhere I wish is an ability I would love to have. I really can nor find a down side to any of my chosen outside of night crawler’s appearance, but I ca can feel the pain of gambit and night crawler as my childhood called a freak and was  mostly me being used for my skills.
As for a cure? Like stated earlier, I would be in love with the things I could accomplish , and looks be damned or whatever humanity has to say about me. As I said before, as a child I was treated in such a way that I can laugh off what minor insults the world can throw out, besides, having the ability to  either change peoples minds , zip away in a puff of smoke, or even just modify my world is very appealing  to the point a cure would look more like a weapon against me
